Brunswick Co. man wanted for car break-ins caught

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man wanted for a string of car break-ins has been caught.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says Jacob Huff, 22, was booked into the Brunswick County Jail under a $100,000 bond.

Huff, who investigators said may have been armed and dangerous, is charged with for nine counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts larceny of a firearm and five counts of misdemeanor larceny in connection to numerous motor vehicle break-ins in the Maco Road area.

Leland Police were also looking for Huff on numerous charges in connection to car break-ins in the Grayson Park area.

Records show Huff’s record includes convictions dating back to 2012 for crimes including trespassing, drugs and breaking and entering.
