WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Club at Midtown, a new sports and social club, will be opening later this year.

The club received a Special Use Permit from the City of Wilmington, which will pave the way for the redevelopment of the facility.

The business, located at 4950 Holly Tree Rd. and formerly known as Holly Tree Racquet Club, will undergo a major transformation. Planned upgrades include a two-story clubhouse with an upscale restaurant and bar, a 33,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility, outdoor covered pickleball courts, a resort-style and lap pool, a new pool house with saunas, upgraded tennis courts, outdoor seating areas, and a real grass outdoor putting green.

In addition to these features, The Club at Midtown announced it will introduce a Sports Hub equipped with state-of-the-art golf simulators and a game room.

“We are thrilled to create this vibrant and exclusive and very unique club where members can relax, connect, and enjoy the best of what life has to offer,” said Mike Harms, managing partner of The Club at Midtown.

The club will offer limited membership opportunities.
