Construction leaders in the Cape Fear meet for sector partnership meeting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Several businesses in the construction industry from across the Cape Fear met on Wednesday as part of the Construction Sector Partnership. Cape Fear Solar Systems hosted the meeting at their location on South Front Street. 

The meeting was one of several led by the Cape Fear Workforce Development Board as a way to encourage collaboration, connect employers to the local workforce, and share industry challenges.  

Rosemary Guendner with the Cape Fear Workforce Development Board said this isn’t the only sector the board is looking to encourage partnerships with. 

“Our first one was the Cape Fear Manufacturing Partnership, which is in it’s fourth year. Very strong, it’s one of the leaders in the country,” she said. “and we’re talking about–and engaging industry leaders–in the hospitality and tourism sector because as we know, that’s a leading industry in our region.”
