Crews respond to shed fire in Castle Hayne
CASTLE HAYNE, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Fire Rescue responded to a shed fire in Castle Hayne that was on Chair Road.
According to a Facebook post, At 1:13 PM today, crews were dispatched to reports of an unknown building fire. Due to the emergency response, Chair Road was temporarily closed in both directions for approximately 45 minutes.
Units from Station 11, 13, and 17 responded, with Engine 11 arriving first on scene to find a fully involved shed fire threatening nearby structures, including a camper trailer, a truck, and a single-story residence.
Firefighters immediately initiated suppression efforts, working swiftly to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported. Chair Road has since reopened.
