Wilmington house fire kills two dogs

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two dogs are killed in a house fire in Wilmington on Monday.

According to a Facebook post from the Wilmington Fire Department, firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on Hibiscus Way.

Quick action by the fire department controlled the fire, and there were no injuries, and two dogs were rescued from the home.

However, despite life-saving efforts, both animals died.
