Town of Leland hosts adult Easter egg hunt

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Easter egg hunts aren’t just for kids anymore.

Adults gathered together to have a special night egg hunt on Thursday evening in Leland.

This isn’t any normal egg hunt. It’s complete with adult beverages, food trucks and live music.

The Town of Leland puts this event on to give people a fun way to socialize with each other and have some fun.

Hundreds came out for the event. Some even dressed up for the occasion.

“I’m ready for the hunt,” James Williams said. “I got my bucket and flashlight. I’m ready to go.”

“We’re going to have to put our guitars down and pick our baskets up,” Amy Chadwick said.

The festivities kicked off at 7:30 p.m. with the egg hunt officially starting at 8:30 p.m.

If you’re looking for an egg hunt for the whole family, the Town of Leland is hosting a free egg hunt this Saturday at the North Brunswick High School football field at 10 a.m.
