Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina hosting first ever charity breakfast

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina is dedicated to helping foster kids both in our backyards and across our state. Next week, there is an event where you can get involved.

B&GH is hosting its first ever charity breakfast at Port City Community Church in Wilmington. The event is to help raise awareness for vulnerable children in our community and to support the mission of Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina.

With a 140-acre campus in Lake Waccamaw, B&GH provides a residential area for children to learn, grow and feel safe. The organization also works with adoption and foster care across the state.

The “For the Love of Kids” charity breakfast is Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 a.m. There will be food provided and District Attorney Ben David will be Master of Ceremonies.

A table sponsorship is $1,000 with 10 people per table. Spots are still available.

If you’d like to reserve a spot, contact Ray Cockrell at (910) 646-3083.
