WFD: Crews respond to two structure fires

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Fire Department crews responded to two structure fires Saturday night in New Hanover County.

One fire was at 336 Sumter Avenue in a duplex and both units had a lot of damage. No injuries were reported.

The other fire was at 6329 Head Road. There was no one home at Head Road but firefighters did rescue one dog from the building. The fire was in the kitchen but WFD contained it there. An investigation is still going on.
