Man charged with 24 additional counts of felony child sexual exploitation

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man has been charged with 24 additional counts of felony child sexual exploitation after sheriff’s office detectives allegedly found new digital evidence of child sex crimes.
According to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Jason Brannan faces 24 new felony counts related to the sexual exploitation of minors:
- 8 counts – First Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
- 8 counts – Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
- 8 counts – Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
These charges are in addition to five previously secured felony offenses.
Brannan’s bond has been increased to $3 million secured.
The investigation remains active as NHSO detectives analyzes materials seized while executing a search warrant at Brennan’s residence.
