Man arrested after a shooting in Columbus County
RIEGELWOOD, NC (WWAY) — A man is in custody after a shooting in Riegelwood.
According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Old Stake Road around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday and found a shooting victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the legs.
The suspect, Brandon Galloway, 31, was waiting at the end of the driveway with his hands up and was taken into custody.
The victim was taken to Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Galloway is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
He is being held with no bond.
