Death and assault investigation underway in Supply

SUPPLY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting death that happened late Sunday night in the Supply area.

According to the incident report, deputies responded to a report of a shooting on Oakland Street around 10:44 p.m.

One man, identified Tristian Stone Kelly, 26, is dead. Another man, Justin Paul Morgan, 34, was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries.

The sheriff’s office says they are currently investigating this as a death and assault with a deadly weapon with serious injuries.

Investigators said there is no suspect at large and no threat to the public.

The sheriff’s office has not released any additional details and said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
