Person airlifted to hospital after roof collapses at home in Longs

LONGS, SC (WWAY) — A person was airlifted to the hospital after the roof collapsed at a home in Longs, according to fire officials.

Horry County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Sandridge Loop around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday for a collapsed roof call with entrapment.

One person was taken out by the crews and then transported to the hospital via medical helicopter with injuries, according to HCFR.
