Man charged after accidentally shooting another
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One man is charged after an accidental shooting Thursday.
According to a Wilmington Police spokeswoman, officers responded to New Hanover Regional Medical Center around 10:30 p.m. in response to a man with a gunshot wound.
After speaking to the victim, the man who drove the victim to the hospital and others, officials determined that the man who drove the victim, Daniel Perry, accidentally shot the victim as the two were walking down some stairs at an apartment complex at 2406 Confederate Drive. Officials said Perry was moving his gun and it fired. The victim said he believed it was truly an accident.
Perry was charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing as well as discharging a firearm in city limits.
