2 NC teen girls charged in violent carjacking

CHARLOTTE, NC (WSOC) — Two girls, 13 and 14-years-old, are charged in a violent carjacking.

Witnesses Paris Hopkins and her husband rushed to help 18-year-old Alang Rlan who police said was pepper-sprayed, brutally beaten, and carjacked at knifepoint.

Rlan was practicing driving her brother’s car for her driver’s permit.

“(She was) bleeding out of her eyes, her nose and her mouth,” Hopkins said.

Hopkins said three young girls flagged down Rlan before the attack.

“They’re really going in, beating her, kicking her, stepping on her face,” Hopkins said.
