Sea turtle nest in Ocean Isle Beach damaged

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A sea turtle nest on Ocean Isle Beach was damaged overnight according to the Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization.

The organization says that the strings around the nest were in place which means someone intentionally went inside the protected area to damage this nest.

They have reported the damage to the Ocean Isle Beach Police and will press charges for all involved.
