Pierce steals home as Shallywags earn split with Rockfish

SHALLOTTE, N.C. (WWAY) — The Shallywags went 1-1 on Wednesday during a doubleheader against the Hope Mills Rockfish.

After falling 10-7 in game one, Trey Pierce opened the scoring in a unique way for the home side in the night cap.

After stealing second, he tagged up to third on a sac fly. After that, he dashed home for a clean steal to make it 1-0 in the bottom of the 1st.

The Shallywags won that game 12-3.
