Pender County utilities to resume disconnections for overdue accounts next week

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Pender County Utilities will begin disconnecting water and sewer services for customers with delinquent accounts starting June 24.

The move follows an extended grace period granted due to the unexpected closure of professional mail services in may, which disrupted the delivery of utility bills for customers across North Carolina.

Customers with past-due balances must make payment by the deadline of Monday afternoon at 5 to avoid having their service disconnected.
