Resurfacing begins on Topsail High school track
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – Relief is coming for Topsail students after months of fundraising and campaigning by parents and neighbors. The school system has begun repaving efforts on the Topsail High School track.
The school system announcing on social media today that repaving begins this week. They say the repaving process will require them to close the track as well as bleachers and concessions until the work is complete.
A non-profit formed to raise funds for the track amounted more than $6,500 in four months for the repairs.
The resurfacing of the THS track will begin today. The entire complex around the track is closed until the work is complete, including all fields, concession stands, stadium and all connecting access roads. Thank you for your understanding as we complete this project! #PCSed
