North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher launches Shark Month

FORT FISHER, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is getting ready to celebrate Shark Awareness Month this July.

They’ll be hosting a special shark awareness day on Monday, July 14th from 9:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m.

The aquarium says there will be opportunities for the community to immerse in shark facts and even enjoy some shark gazing.

The NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher features two sand tiger sharks and a bonnet head shark in the Cape Fear shoals habitat.
