Man charged with 2nd degree murder after Kure Beach shooting

KURE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A Jacksonville man has been charged with 2nd-degree murder in connection with a Kure Beach shooting.

According to the Kure Beach Police Department, the shooting took place on the morning of June 28th.

The police department announced Tuesday that the victim, Kentravion Jones-Humphrey, has died from a gunshot wound.

The police have subsequently charged Doyan Lee Pierce with 1 count of felony second-degree murder.
