Wilmington police warn of city-wide money scam

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a man attempting to scam people out of money.

Police say the suspect is described as a middle aged white man with light colored hair.

He is reportedly going to homes, telling residents he lives in the area and then asking for gas money.

He is believed to be driving a tan Cadillac SUV.
