Tide mobile unit offers free laundry
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As people across the southeast work to clean their yards and repair their homes, some everyday chores like laundry may be at the bottom of the list.
Tide and Matthew’s Ministries are working together to provide help by providing free laundry.
The Loads of Hope truck is located at the Lowes Home Improvement in Porters Neck.
There is a two load limit but the process is simple. Participants must provide their phone number and, within two hours, expect a text to pick up your washed, dried and folded clothes.
One local Wilmington woman is thankful for this service.
“It just helps out a whole lot [because] when your clothes get wet and you need to get rid of that mold smell,” said Michelle Qatazar. “Someone doing it for you while you could take care of the other part of the house …helps out real wonderful.”
The unit will be stationed at 191 Porters Neck Road from 9 AM to 5 PM until Thursday.
