Monique Robinson is a New Jersey native and excited to call the Cape Fear area her new home. She graduated in May 2018 from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Atmospheric & Oceanic Science and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. Monique was the first student at the university to dual-degree in these two areas of study. She is the recipient of the 2018 Rick Jordan Scholarship for her academic, research and extracurricular work in the College Park community. Before joining the WWAY team in July 2018, Monique interned with the StormTeam4 at WRC-TV and WMAL 105.9/ AM 630 in Washington, DC. In her free time, she loves mentoring youth and tutoring in math and science. She also enjoys teaching, dancing, running and trying new foods!
