BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Rep. William Brisson has won a seventh term in the North Carolina House of Representatives, but it’s the first time he’s won as a Republican.
Brisson has served in the House since 2006, but he was a Democrat until switching parties in the fall of last year.
Tonight he easily beat Democrat Tony Denning to hold on to his 22nd District seat representing Bladen and Cumberland counties.
Brisson won 57% to 43% against Denning.
