Powerball jackpot now stands at $325 million

RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) —  The Powerball jackpot keeps on growing as it now stands at $325 million for Wednesday’s drawing.

A winner could claim the jackpot as a $325 million annuity or $145.3 million in cash.

“We all are hoping to see a big jackpot winner in North Carolina tonight,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Good luck to everyone trying their luck on that life-changing prize.”

Even though the jackpot remains up for grabs, players are taking home lots of other prizes as Monday’s Powerball drawing produced more than 12,000 winning tickets in North Carolina.

The current Powerball run has raised almost $6 million for education in North Carolina.

Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
