Black History Month: Honoring Laney High School Athletic Director Fred Lynch


WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY)- Amanda Fitzpatrick sat down with Laney High School Athletic Director Fred Lynch to talk about his impact on the Laney Athletics Community.

Lynch has been working with Laney Athletics for nearly four decades, and has been the Athletic Director for 23 years. Lynch also spoke about his legacy in Laney athletics and what it’s like watch young athletes transform into better players all the way until they graduate.

Lynch was also assistant coach at Laney High School when NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan played basketball for the school.
