Carolina Beach bar hosts fundraiser for man assaulted outside

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) —  A few weeks ago we brought you a story about a man who was allegedly assaulted outside a Carolina Beach bar. The victim then needed reconstructive surgery on his face as a result.

Carolina Beach Police said a verbal argument led to the victim being assaulted by the suspect.

The Dive in Carolina Beach posted a statement online Sunday announcing they will be holding a fundraiser to help pay for the victim’s bills.

The Dive will be raffling off gift cards from various businesses across the island as well as two tickets to see the Dirty Heads.

The fundraiser will be held Sunday, March 3, from 2 to 6 p.m.
