First official victim of 9/11 attacks honored with community cookout at Brunswick Beer Xchange
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick Beer Xchange held a community cookout on Saturday to honor first responders.
Brunswick Beer Xchange is hosting a Community Cookout and First Responder Appreciation event in tandem with raising funds for the Ringfinnan Memorial Garden of Remembrance.
The Ringfinnan Memorial Garden is located in Kinsale, Ireland and is dedicated to the memory of Father Mychel Judge, the FDNY Chaplain and the first official victim of the 9-11 attacks.
Gerry Armitrano says he is honored to be a part of this fundraiser and grateful for the Memorial Garden being part of this event.
“Donna is a wonderful person for putting this together and including me with my Ringfinnan Memorial Garden,” said Armitrano.
The event will have food available with the purchase of a food ticket, vendors, a DJ, raffles, and more. It will be going on today at Brunswick Beer Xchange from 1 pm to 4pm.
