Coastal Christian handles New Hanover 3-1

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Coastal Christian volleyball will celebrate following a 3-1 home win on Wednesday over New Hanover.

The set scores were 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 25-14.

After claiming the first two sets, the Centurions dropped the third. But they responded in kind with their most dominating showing to finish the job in the fourth.

“Pretty much just hold yourself accountable,” senior Chloe Carter said. “Volleyball is pretty much like a team sport and you need every single person on the team to be in it. If one person’s off, then the entire team is thrown off. Everyone definitely picked up their pace, their energy, their commitment in the game. I’m just so proud of everyone because they gave 100-percent and it really paid off in the end.”
