Suspect wanted after 20-year-old shot to death in Ash
ASH, NC (WWAY) –The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting early Friday morning on Vereen Road in Ash.
A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives have identified the suspect as Jonathon Jayden Babson-Hill, 21. Deputies say he should be considered dangerous and to not approach him.

Anyone with information on Babson-Hill’s whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Hill at 910-253-2777 or call 911 immediately.
“The Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to remain vigilant and assist law enforcement in locating Babson-Hill so he can be safely taken into custody,” BCSO said in a release.
No additional details have been released at this time.
