Hundreds gathered for the ‘American Craft Walk’ in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Saturday Downtown Wilmington was lined with vendors selling a wide range of art.   

More than 120 local artists and craftspeople set up along Front Street for the American Craft Walk.   

Hundreds of people strolled the street browsing the artwork and products.   

Lane Sweaney lives downtown and enjoyed getting to support local businesses.   

“It’s really important for local business too. They get a lot of exposure out of things like this. Definitely a good thing to do and nice to be able to walk around when it’s still nice outside,” Sweaney said. 

Sweaney adds he likes events such as the American Craft Walk because there’s more items to look at which makes it more enjoyable.
