Private NC universities Elon and Queens to merge by summer of 2026
ELON, N.C. (WTVD) — Two private colleges in North Carolina are set to merge. The president for Elon University, which is located in Alamance County and Queens University which is located in Charlotte made the joint announcement Tuesday.
According to its website, Elon says it is expanding through integration with Queens University. Both schools say, the merger will unify the strengths and resources of both institutions to better serve students and the community for decades to come.
