WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — A battle of Coastal Plain Conference rivals went the way of Hurricanes boys soccer following a 3-0 Cape Fear Academy home win over Coastal Christian on Monday.

Just before the ten minute mark, Vance Mino headed the ball off the post and into the net. It was his second goal of the game.

Around the 23 minute mark, Mino shot a Trey Ragan free kick pass for another goal to complete the hat trick.

The win gives CFA six wins over their last seven matchups against the Centurions.

“It was just a great ball in,” Mino said. “We’re playing really well as a team. The finishing was critical today, for sure. It’s really that discipline. In practice, we’re showing up every day. We’re working hard and it translates to the field. Definitely builds us as a team. We’re looking forward to the next games. We’re excited to see what happens.”
