Former West Brunswick High School Principal and School Board Member has died

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Former West Brunswick High School Principal and School Board Member Harry E. Lemon, Jr. has died.

Mr. Lemon served Brunswick County Schools for more than three decades as a teacher, coach, guidance counselor, assistant principal, beloved West Brunswick High School principal, and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.

After retiring from school administration, he continued his service as a member of the Brunswick County Board of Education, offering steady leadership rooted in experience and care.

Mr. Lemon’s journey began at New Hanover High School and continued at UNC – Wilmington. He earned a Master of Arts and an advanced degree from the University of South Carolina.
