Survivors say suspicious boat spotted night before Southport shooting

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY-TV) — Two women who were at the American Fish Company on Saturday have come out to share their story about what happened that night during the mass shooting.

Alisa Noah and her coworker Courtney Lizzio were enjoying a night of live music with Lizzio’s sister who had come in from New York.

Noah said the night started off great with live music and food until gun shots began to ring out

“Everyone was dancing, having a great time, it was just wonderful, it was a night on the water,” Noah said. “Until it wasn’t.”

Lizzio said she had visited the waterfront bar on Friday the night before the shooting and noticed a suspicious white boat near the waterfront. Lizzio said she saw the same white boat again on Saturday night

“Being there the night before, my sister and I walked up and we saw that boat, we just looked at each other like, we saw it the night before,” Lizzio said.

Noah and Lizzio added that this event will take a long time to recover from before moving forward.

Noah and Lizzio both work at the Tipsy Tuna in Oak Island and said they will be selling shirts at the business to raise funds for victims.
