Victims identified in deadly Southport mass shooting

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — The City of Southport has released the names of the three people killed in Saturday night’s mass shooting at the American Fish Company in Southport.
The victims have been identified as:
- Solomon Banjo, 36, of Charlottesville, Va.
- Joy Rogers, 64, of Southport, N.C.
- Michael Durbin, 56, of Galena, Ohio
Investigators say around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night, a boat with a single occupant opened fire on the waterfront bar, striking multiple patrons. All three victims died from their injuries. Five others were injured.
Earlier this week, the family of Rogers confirmed she was one of the victims. She and her husband had recently moved to Southport from California.
Southport Police continue to investigate and ask anyone who was at American Fish Company on Friday, Sept. 26, or Saturday, Sept. 27, to share any information, photos, or video with investigators by calling (910) 457-7911.
Nigel Edge, 40, faces several charges, including murder and attempted murder.
