Pet Pals: Curious and affectionate Hound mix looking for forever home

WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — This Week’s Pet Pal is Cleetus, a 5-year-old hound mix with a lovable, easygoing personality.

Paws Place Dog Rescue says Cleetus weighs about 62 pounds and has a calm temperament. While he enjoys walks, he is happiest cuddled up next to someone on the couch. Staff describe him as sweet, friendly and easy to handle, adding that he walks well on a leash and gets along well with most people and other dogs.

Cleetus is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Paws Place will cover the cost of that treatment for his adopter.

Rescuers say he would fit in well with almost any family, from young adults to seniors, and would do just fine in either an apartment or a single-family home.

Paws Place Dog Rescue is located at 242 George II Highway in Winnabow. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary to meet Cleetus or any of their other adoptable pets.
