CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — After years of serving burritos, salsa, and queso to locals and visitors, Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn has announced it will close its Carolina Beach location, but not before celebrating one last Churkeychanga Season.

In a post on social media, the restaurant said it will end regular operations at its Carolina Beach shop on Friday, October 31.

“We’ve made the difficult decision to close our Carolina Beach location, but we’ll be celebrating one last Churkeychanga Season with our friends and neighbors on Pleasure Island,” the post said.

Customers can stop by during regular hours through October 31 to enjoy their favorite burritos, salsa, and queso before the location officially closes.

Starting Saturday, November 1, Flaming Amy’s will shift to serving fresh, hot to-go Churkeychangas only.

In a statement to WWAY, Amy Limbaugh with Flaming Amy’s said, “It was, of course, a really hard decision with multiple contributing factors. Ultimately it made the most sense for us to shift our focus back to our original location on Oleander Drive, where we’ve been serving the community for more than 25 years. We’ve loved being a part of the Pleasure Island community and will miss our friends and neighbors there.”

Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn opened nearly 10 years ago on Pleasure Island.
