CFCC announces two upcoming ‘Career Discovery Nights’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College invites students and upcoming students to two December Career Discovery Nights.

The K-12 Teacher Preparation Program will be on December 2nd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Union Station in room 296.

The Chemical Technology Career Discovery Night will be held on December 4th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the N building room 202.

Both of the events offer a firsthand look at CFCC’s programs and provide the opportunity to meet instructors and gain career information.

Upon completion of the K-12 Teacher Preparation Program you gain a two-year associate degree. The program is also transferable to four-year North Carolina colleges and universities. Students will gain field experience, curriculum planning, and teacher licensure preparation.

The Chemical Technology program prepares students for careers in laboratory science through hands-on training in chemical analysis and instrumentation. Students learn to preform chemical testing, operate analytical equipment, interpret data, and follow industry safety and quality standards.
