Community service of comfort and hope during the holiday season

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Southport area churches are coming together to provide a place of solace during the holiday season.

The Community Service of Comfort and Hope will be held at Southport Presbyterian Church on December 4th starting at 6:30 p.m.

The service will include candle lighting, meditative music, and scriptures of lament and hope to create a welcoming worship space.

Stephen Ministries, Southport Trinity UMC, St. Peter Lutheran Church of Southport, Southport Presbyterian Church, and Southport Baptists Church will co-host the service.

The event is open to the community and focused on people dealing with loss, loneliness, grief, or any challenge.
