No serious injuries reported after vehicle crashes into Southport Walgreens

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — The Southport Police Department says a vehicle hit a building on Sunday, Nov. 23.
The Department says officers were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. to a motor vehicle accident where the vehicle hit the Walgreens at 5098 Southport Supply Road.
Police say no serious injuries were reported, and there was moderate damage to both the vehicle and building.
The Southport Fire Department and Brunswick County EMS also responded to the scene, and operations at the store were interrupted for approximately 20-30 minutes while crews were working.
They cleared the scene sometime after that, though the Police Department continues investigating.
