Columbus Regional Healthcare System breaks ground on new Advanced Care Leland facility

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Columbus Regional Healthcare System has broken ground on Advanced Care Leland, a 68,000-square-foot medical office building designed to expand access to outpatient care for the growing Leland community.
The new facility will offer a wide range of advanced services, including CT, ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, primary care, orthopedics, and urology.
“With the growth happening in Leland and surrounding areas, we see the need to expand our services to meet the community’s needs,” said Jason Beck, CEO of Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
He said the organization’s reputation as a Center of Excellence in robotic surgery and joint replacement reflects its commitment to patient care.
“Patients may not remember the technology used in their procedure, but they remember how people made them feel, and our team at Advanced Care Leland are known for just that,” Beck added.
CRHS opened four Leland clinics in 2021 and now sees more than 11,000 outpatient visits annually, underscoring the need for expanded services.
“It’s exciting to see our next phase of development to increase high-quality medical care in southeastern North Carolina,” said Dr. Roc McCarthy, a urologist with Advanced Urology.
Advanced Care Leland is expected to be completed in December 2026.
