WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –Wilmington Police have identified the two people found dead Tuesday morning in what investigators now say was a domestic violence related murder-suicide at Hanover Apartments on Wilshire Boulevard.

WPD spokesman Greg Willett said once units arrived on scene, “they located two individuals inside of an apartment that were both deceased, a male and a female.”

Police say Delonte Reed, 40, and Eureka McDonald, 46, both of Wilmington, were discovered inside an apartment just before 11 a.m. Officers say their investigation has determined Reed and McDonald died in a domestic situation, and the case is being treated as a murder-suicide.

WPD says the investigation remains active as detectives work to piece together the circumstances leading up to the incident. Additional details will be released when available.
