President Donald Trump answers Christmas Eve phone call from North Carolina

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (CBS News) — President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump answered calls from children calling NORAD to track Santa Claus on Wednesday.
They spent about thirty minutes answering calls on Christmas Eve from Mar-A-Lago.
The President spoke to a child from North Carolina who asked if Santa would get mad if cookies are not left out for him.
“I think he won’t get mad, but I think he’ll be very disappointed,” he said. He added that Santa tends to be on “a little on the cherubic” side.
NORAD has tracked Santa’s progress every Christmas Eve since 1955.
The past few presidents have joined NORAD in taking a handful of calls, which are mostly fielded by volunteers at the Colorado-based military command.
