Free parking and warm weather draw visitors to downtown Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY-TV) – Locals and out-of-towners were in downtown Wilmington on Thursday enjoying the warm weather and free street parking.
The city began offering free street parking on Wednesday and will continue this offer through Friday.
Cathey Stelle from Portland, Maine was out enjoying Thursday’s beautiful weather downtown.
“Yesterday there was 18 inches of snow coming down and thankfully we got out and now we are here visiting our wonderful relatives in the area,” Stelle said.
On Saturday, paid street parking will be enforced again for $3 per hour from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
