Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — A funeral service for Alec Chambers will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.

Alec Vann Chambers of Wilmington died on December 30, 2025, after a car crash at Satellite Bar and Lounge shortly after 12:30 a.m.

According to his obituary, Alec was a professional skateboarder, artist, and bartender born on August 27, 1993, in San Diego, California, and the youngest son of Joy L. North and the late Robert D. Chambers.

Family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel; funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington.

Satellite Bar has announced on social media that it will be closed following the crash.
