Columbus County couple wins top prize from scratch-off ticket
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Delco couple spent $5 on a scratch-off ticket and won a $200,000 top prize.
Jose Castro and Maria Aguinada bought the Prize Link Multiplier from Smoker Friendly on Reed Road in Leland.
The couple claimed their prize from lottery headquarters on Thursday. They decided to split the prize and after required state and federal tax withholdings, they each took home $72,011.
The game debuted in April with five $200,000 top prizes. One top prize remains unclaimed.
