Salisbury to host Ninth Annual Cheerwine Festival this May

SALISBURY, N.C. (WWAY) — The Cheerwine Festival is returning to downtown Salisbury Saturday, May 16, 2026. Hosted by Cheerwine, the South’s favorite cherry soda, and the City of Salisbury, the annual celebration brings a full day of music, flavor, and family fun back to where it all began in its hometown.
Now in its ninth year, the award-winning festival honoring the 109-year-old soft drink will feature live music from local and regional performers, Cheerwine-inspired food and drinks, family-friendly activities, arts and crafts, and more.
“Each year, the Cheerwine Festival is our favorite way to say thank you to the community that’s been part of Cheerwine’s story from the very beginning,” says Joy Ritchie Harper, vice president of marketing for Cheerwine and fifth generation founding family member. “We’re looking forward to another day of music, great food, and local flavor, plus a chance for visitors to experience why Salisbury will always feel like home to Cheerwine.”
Vendor applications for food, beverages, and crafts are now open here. Merchants have until Friday, February 6, to submit their applications to be part of this event.
Additional details, including the musical lineup and entertainment, will be announced in the coming weeks.
