CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — Martin Luther King Day honors the life and legacy of the civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., who was born on January 15th, 1929.

The commemorate, many groups and organizations are hosting events during the weekend and on Monday. Here are some of the events:
