Town of Surf City continues hydrant replacements, water outage planned
SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Surf City Public Utilities Department will continue hydrant replacements throughout the month of January.
The next hydrant replacement is scheduled for Thursday, January 22 and will require a planned water outage for residents located between 2011 S Shore Drive and 2622 S Shore Drive.
Residents at the following addresses can expect the outage between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.:

- Auger Shell Ct
- Peregrine Ct
- Cutlass Dr
- Morgan Lane
- Windjammer Dr
- Teach Ct
- Bonnets Ct
- Maritime Dr
- Abigail Ct
- Katelyn Dr
- Channel Bend
- White Hills Lane
Once the water is restored, some residents may experience temporary water discoloration. A boil water advisory will be in effect until 4 p.m. on Friday as a precaution.
